Topic tags/keywords: radial arm saw ras machine pulley arbor threads sheave craftsman sander planer

Hi again L-jox…..

Me was thinkin about utilizing the other shaft on the right side of my radial arm saw motor to power my shopmade convex “shopsmith” disc sander….. I thought a very small 1/2 inch 20 TPI threaded pulley would be perfect…....BUT…..Does anybody make such a thing?? Dont know what it wood cost to get one made!!!

I have a large 5” and 6” pulley to chose from for my sanding arbor to slow things down a bit.

Does any body have any thots or suggestions about this? I know there is other ways to do this but I thot a threaded pulley would be a cool way. Maybe I will just put a chuck on my RAS and hook up a flexible sanding shaft.
