Hello all I recently bought a Hitachi sliding compound miter saw, model C12RSH. Nice tool….............however…..........I’ve tried three different blades, all really nice ones too, and cant seem to figure out why this saw leaves a slight ridge in the keeper piece, AT THE START OF THE CUT, when I make a cut. This ridge extends about two inches into the cut then the rest of the cut is smooth as glass. the odd thing is that the offcut piece has no such defect. I have no idea why the saw is doing this but it is frustrating. Afterall, I paid for a tool that should produce smooth cuts all the way across the end grain. I’ve adjusted my technique in more ways than I can describe. Still nothing. your thoughts will be most appreciated.

Can you post a pic? I have this saw and have no issues.
