Topic tags/keywords: secret compartments question boxes history

I am curious about learning to add secret compartments to boxes and eventually furniture. Are there any good resources for learning the historical methods and adding/designing secret compartments?

Jeff, Fine Woodworking issue #159 April 2006 had an article by Mark Schofield that should get you started. Here is a link for online members. HTH

Check out my projects page and look at the “I,ve got secrets box and the not your mommas tissue box”. Hvae made a bunch of these. Good luck. These are fun to make and to show.

Youtuber Dustin Penner has a few vids in which he builds boxes with secret compartments.
