I am using the Micro-Mesh Pen Sanding Kit from Woodcraft I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on cleaning? Only thing I can find is use a stiff plastic brush. I was curious is there a soap option, toss them in the washer, any chemicals preferred. I tried using a stiff brush but my main problem is some black paint that got off some 7mm bushings worked itself into the pads some and it doesn’t just scrub off.

I just use soap and water to clean them. Also, I use them wet, that helps cut down on the clogging you are experiencing. If you have paint on one, you might try the paint solvent or gum off to see if it will dissolve.
