Hi Gang
I get PMs all the time and try to help were I can . I thought it would be better if someone that lives closer to Jim. So if someone lives close to him can help it would be great. If you think you can help send Jim a PM.

Here’s a copy of the PM Jim sent to me with his permission.

My name is Jim Reeves, l live in Carrying Place, Ontario, Canada 1.5 hour drive east of Toronto, Ontario.cabinets
I have admired your skill, your projects beautiful, was looking at your kitchen cabinets red oak units.
I still have not found plan to build my daughter a 36 inch wide base kitchen sink .

Due to mold where she was living from 2007 – 2008 she had to move unable to find a place had to move into front of our house which was a duplex when we built self contained 2 bedroom living space for my dad when he had cancer built on so could look after him when he passed away in 1995 we opened up house removed oldest cabinets.

My daughter has been washing dishes in the shower since moving here in 2008. Being on a disability pension since 1988 now just $ 697.00 a month very hard to get funds from bank with just my wife’s income just barely making ends meet some months need to use plastic.
So some how have to build her above size cabinet.

And would like to for our 31 year anniversary reface present kitchen cabinets for my wife she deserves so much more than l can give her.
Our kitchen cabinets jim we bought from rona when we built on for my They were nice then boxes still good shape, but doors, drawer fronts paper worn away in many spots.
So thought l could using oak or pine plywood veneer reface the 10 ft of uppers and lowers.
Then on opposite wall build from scratch a section of 8 ft long uppers/lowers to match refacing of old ones.

I have about 100 board ft of red oak 1×4, 1×6, some 1×8 our anniversary is july/14 am hoping if you have a design software you use maybe could design cabinets so l can build them and the 36 inch sink base for my daughter is this possible and to give me step by step building process?
If you can’t l understand.

It is great that Keth stepped up to the plate so quick and I know he will do a more than great job but if there is still someone that can do a in person support with some tools that Jim might not have, it would be great to make it a team effort.

It’s so unfortunate I live 9K+ miles away from his place. I’m so free now if he needs helping hand.
Jim, I appreciate your effort.
Keith, I raise my hat for you…I’m proud being in the same forum with both of you.

This truely shows that a LJ’s heart is NOT made of wood! Long live the brotherhood of wood. May you all be blessed for your unselfish nature!

Good luck from here too.
Keith, if the world was full of people like you – wauuu it would be a wonderful place to live.
If you need some design help, I will be willing to give a Architects word, but I’m a real beginner in woodworking, so I think Keith can be at more help.
(I live in Denmark, so it will be by mail).
