“Sheer-luck Homes.” You’re funny, Alistair. I really didn’t know what you talking about, til I read Candy’s reply to “Allison,” whoever that is. Candy’s funny, too. Have you seen any of Mafe’s hand-carved poipes? (I did that on purpose, cause I’m fluent in Scottish.) -- Mark |

Pipes should be made from Briar if wooden (for the bowel). All else will have less than desirable results (wood + Fire = not just tobacco burning). Google Mediterranean Briar. Its hard. Then worry about the mouth pieces. Steve -- Don't blame me, I voted for no one. |

Hi could someone tell me is it possible to use different coloured woods layered together, and if so is there any danger from toxins in the glue used? I started mixing a bit of two part epoxy today and when I looked down it was smoking, and I don’t mean a pipe either LOL . -- excuse my typing as I have a form of parkinsons disease |

Scotsman… You’re worried about Toxins from Glue?! What do think about the tobacco, that is burned in the Pipe, of the Deadly Toxins it contains? :) LOL :) ... Priorities studied… ? LOL Good Luck… I quit smoking a pipe when I couldn’t take a deep breath for a chest X-Ray! -- Have Fun! Joe Lyddon - Alta Loma, CA USA - Home: http://www.WoodworkStuff.net ... Yes Joe , but this guy surprisingly to me has smoked now for many years cigarettes. I think the present theory is smoking a pipe and not really inhaling it too much will be safer. I assume he is in his own MIND to old now for it to be of any good to quit. I fervently disagree with this. A lot of people smoke marijuana and this has been scientifically proven to be much less dangerous than tobacco .Governments don’t stop tobacco as it seems more difficult to get from seed to finished product than a weed which will grow anywhere and they can’t seem to stop the misuse .Look up Noam Chomsky and his article on tobacco free to purchase marijuana illegal, on YOUTUBE yet marijuana has never caused any deaths from inhaling smoking whereas tobacco kills around one third of the people in the world or used to now it seems to be a lot more unpopular. My both boys smoked for a while not heavily they have stopped a long time a go Alistair my eldest son still feels the need to continue buying the chewing gum to stop you from smoking go figure. They say tobacco is much harder to stop taking smoking than heroin. That surprised me an old guy who has never been interested in smoking and certainly never drinking alcohol. When he finds out he has trouble taking a deep breath for a chest x-ray & the x-ray doesn’t work because of it, HE WILL STOP! I smoked cigarettes for many many years… when they got to 50 cents a pack, I went to a PIPE… and yes I inhaled too… I am SO GLAD I QUIT! I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER! -- Have Fun!
