Topic tags/keywords: stain table wood

My wife wants me to make this table she found at potterybarn she wants it stained in the seadrift stain. It appears they use pine and mdf to make this table. Which i have to desire to use. I was thinking maybe soft maple. But I’m not sure what would any of you recommended if she plans on staining it?

I think maple would be a good choice for a white wash finish seems like it could sav you some time.
It’s a nice design and it doesn’t look to hard to build.
Tables are my favorite. Good Luck
