Topic tags/keywords: honing sharpening

Hello, I was wondering if anybody knew anything about these stones and how to use them. I wanted to try my hand at honing but dont know what grit I have here, what I need to use with them or what the “Kimberley Special” is. Thanks for any help. MB

The top and middle stones on the right look like carborundum (silicone carbide) stones. The one in the red box may be a soft Arkansas stone. The other 2 brownish colored ones may be India stones. That’s my best guesses just based on the pics.
