Topic tags/keywords: purple heart andiroba oil copaiba oil

Andiroba oil is obtained from the seeds of Carapa guianensis, a tropical specie of the family of Mahogany.
The oil is used mostly for medicinal purposes as a powerful anti inflammatory and also for its healing properties.
I came across to some of this oil while in Belem, Brazil and also on some locally wood work make with Purple heart.
Please refer to the enclosed picture. To the piece on the left I applied a bit of andiroba oil and the one on the right received some copaiba oil.

The andiroba provided a better finish and luster and it seems to be a more resistant one. I would like to try a mixed of mineral oil and andiroba oil on a coffee table I am working right now and would like to hear from anybody that may have had any experience with something like this. Thanks in advance
