Just got in from today’s heavy machinery
auction with a Old Unisaw. Wasn’t even interested
but wasn’t gonna let it go for $15 so I bid $20 &
got it. Have know idea what I’m gonna do with it. It’s 3 phase, right tilt. I’ll post pics in comments
Hi all, just wanted to share. I picked up a Powermatic PM64
with Biesmeyer fence on CL for $150.
It’s a right tilt 1 1/2 hp but as often as
I change angles I should be fine with
that. Should be a good upgrade over
my Craftsman 113.

auction for $30. Don’t have any idea what to
make with it so any ideas are appreciated.

at my house can appreciate new tools or
“a piece of wood” as my wife says.

Thanks for any input or comments. Nobody

Cherry 6×6? Very nice! I have no ideas, but that’s something I wouldn’t have passed on, either.

Nice scores! I picked up a PM63 with the Vega fence on CL for the same price a while back. Best CL purchase I ever made.

Thanks for the replies.
Don’t know what to do with
this 6×6. I guess even if I
sell it shouldn’t be hard
to get my money back. Here’s a picture of a
few other thing I picked
up at same auction for a
whole $12

OK You Suck .
I have an older Rockwell saw with a Right Tilt as well and the only issue I have heard about them is if you do a 45 miter on one side of a board and then want to a do a 45 miter on the other the tip of the miter can go under the fence since it is on the bottom of the board and cause issues with the next 45 cut. I just move the fence to the other side and then the tip of the 45 miter is on top and can’t go under the fence.

Nice score. Now you can sell you 113 for $150 and break even.

1968 uni. Baby puke green…of course. and begin the rebuild. Great score. You suck in ways that would bring out the ban-hammer if I listed them.

It’s a 1972 model according to the serial number page in the VM Wiki.

Thanks guys, it might be grey under the green.
Green seems to be a hack job. Haven’t got
to look into it to much but pictures make it look
rougher than it is. For sure need an overhaul
but everything seems to move quite well. Not
sure what to do. Haven’t got to even use my
new pm64 much. How would the 2 compare
If both were in descent shape ?
