Found Doweling jig (Jessem or Dowelmax)

I found a good deal on a Jessem Paralign doweling jig, on eBay.

Hi Lumberjocks, I’m taking a long shot, here. I would like to buy a used doweling jig. I would prefer a Jessem Paralign, first, then, Dowelmax, or Jessem 8350 in that order. Thanks for looking. I’ll be glad to receive advice on the purchase, also. Thank you,

If those are the only two choices then choose the Dowelmax.

However, if you are doing everything with dowels, just realize there are other more versatile method alternatives which may be superior, faster, and more suited for the applications.

Further, there are way more cost effective doweling jigs for the occasional user which will yield acceptable results as well as allow investments in other equipment etc..
