I’m looking on the web for a set of Greene & Greene night table plans. Just about every image I click on takes me to Ted McGrath’s wood working plans. Any one know the skinny on this guy? I’ve hear to be kinda leery of his site. Any thoughts? Thanks. -- Mark |

Ted is a scam, even the photo of “Ted” is a scam, it’s a stock photo from some photo service. Check out books by Darrel Peart , who is an acknowledged expert in G and G style. You might also get good info from this book by Robert Lang. Good Luck! Be Careful! Mark, I have a few books by Bob Lang and have found them to be helpful and quite readable. Also, Bob checks in here in LJ sometimes so if you have a particular question, he may answer it for you. I have a lot of respect for him and his knowledge base. Here is his site. -- Art |

Avoid those kind of sites at all costs! To answer the original question, Darrell Peart has plans for both the Aurora table and the Arched Aurora table. Here’s the link to TheWoodWhisperer’s version: http://lumberjocks.com/projects/15517 Darrell’s article on the Arched Aurora Nightstand was in the Winter 2010 issue of Woodwork Mag (#116). -- You can't control the wind, but you can trim your sails |

His stuff is so awesome, makes me feel like a hack/wood butcher. But I’m still inspired. My dream vacation is taking one of his classes at Ng… -- You can't control the wind, but you can trim your sails |

Darrell has great books and plans and his Aurora nightstand is a work of art. I also really liked a G&G table that PopularWoodworking did a few years back, the Thorsen House side table. I believe you should be able to find plans for both of those. |
