I have a Jet Bulldog DC, canister on top and bag below. When I use the lathe with green wood, I don’t generally turn on the DC, but I do use it when band-sawing. Though that seems somewhat futile, I am wondering—for the shavings that do get into the DC, does their wet nature cause any problems in the long run. Opinions?

They should not be a problem if the hose is big enough to pull the long strings through. There is no dust with the green wood so I let it pile up and shovel it into the barrel.
