Part 1: Miter saw station

Well guys, finally had some time to work on the shop furniture. Picked up some Red Oak Laminate along with some 1×3 stock and went to town. Made all of my doors for the miter station. It was my first door project so n a couple of them, I got too close to the edge and cracked the wood when I was running the screws in. O well, live and learn. Part 2: Fed Up

So I finally chose an outfeed table and ran with it. Used the finewoodworkers.com design. Regular ole pine for the shelf and Blondewood for the table top. Got one of the drawers finished before the sun started peaking into the garage. As you can see in one of the pics, I also installed a shop fan because in case you haven’t heard, “IT”S HOT” in Houston right now. Also picked up a nice Delta Band Saw. Shop is coming along. Part 3: Free time

So with my first big project on hold because the folks I am doing the project for are deciding on a grill type, I had some free time in the shop today. So I built a couple things for the shop. First I built a proper fence for my router table, with a shop built DC that works pretty good. I also went ahead and made a zero clearance insert for my TS. Was really impressed how easy it was. Part 4: This Sux

In a good way of course. I got my DC and some of the plumbing installed today. I also made it out to my local mill and picked up some 8/4 hard maple and 8/4 purpleheart for Christmas gifts I will be starting in a few weeks. In one of the pics, you can see my new 12 inch craftsman planer that I recently purchased. Can’t wait to try the DC out.
