So far I'm not yet into woodworking, as I don't have a workshop, garage, basement, outhouse, etc. to serve as a work space. But I do have an old house that requires work, and am realizing that, for me, its more fun using hand tools than power tools. Reminds me of time as a kid in my Dad's workshop. So I have very recently acquired the following vintage hand tools as a starter collection:

Stanley Yankee Push drill, Millers Falls Yankee Push Drill, Millers Falls breast drill, Millers Falls 10" brace, Millers Falls 303 Egg Beater Drill, Stanley metal miter box and saw, Disston D-8 and Disston No. 8 crosscut saws, and an E.C. Atkins Rip Saw. Straight flutes and some twist bits with square shanks or Yankee bit ends, and I'm keeping an eye out for square shank auger bits. Oh, and I have some other small tools like a nice Wooden Handled Stanley sliding T-Bevel.

No place to store these goodies yet, so I'll need to concoct a (very efficient) tool storage area in the Harry Potter Closet (under my stairs). Then I'll work on making a workbench-- thinking about a portable Moravian Workbench that I have been reading about. Looks useful and storable as well.
