The grandkids love coming to the workshop and building all sorts of projects.

One of the most popular projects is a flash-bang gun which captures the imagination of the kids and produces an amazing effect.

In this episode of the American Craftsman Workshop I will show you how to build a flash-bang gun. Then, to show how well they work, I have a backyard shootout with 2 of our grandkids, Olivia and Cole.

Hope you enjoy,

Todd A. Clippinger

pastorglen – Remember to allow your mind to “be in the moment” for the imagination to have the greatest effect!

eddie – The grandkids really have spent a lot of time in the shop. I always have lots of hot glue sticks and scrap blocks of wood ready for them.

Think the military might be interested? Ammo seems cheap enough.

Here I thought it was going to be another dull Saturday night looking at the latest postings on Lumberjocks. Was I ever wrong! Great build and even greater story, and the action video was….well, UNBELIEVABLE! It was entertaining, thanks for sharing.

Todd, could you please do a script for this so I can make some for my grandkids? I have 6. I am hearing impaired and cannot follow the narrative. This looks like a fun thing to do with them! Thanks.

Todd where do I start….. All creations come from imagination and as you pointed out
who better at imagination then kids. We all use our imagination in woodworking but often times
we don’t even realize it much less enjoy it. We think we are solving problems, but what is really
happening is we are using the power of imagination to bring our projects to life.
I want you to know I must still be a kid at heart because I actually saw and heard the Flash Bang
I hope you were not seriously hurt in the shoot out.

Your new sound and camera equipment seems to be working great in case your still wondering
Thanks for posting
