Thank all of you for such a warm wlecome.
I do some things in wood. I have a Barn and animals and a pile of used lumber. It’s like a big pille of freebies to play with as I see fit. Chicken Coop, Rabit Cages, shelving, work benches….

However I’m going to make a small Jon boat boat for lake fishing. I row normally, but I want this boat to be wide and stable so an old fat guy can waller around inside it, all the while assured it will stay under me.

There is some software out for doing drawings like that. One of your members has written a Tutorial for the Google Sketchup program. That’s what led me to your forum. I want to capture his Tutorials and teach myself to use Sketchup. I’d also like to draw out my proposed back porch to show my wife what it will look like as we envision it now. Then she can start making the changes before we start making the porch. I’m pretty sure its cheaper to do it that way.
D’ja ever wonder why we cant get the Grandaughter interested enough to learn and do this stuff for you?
