Bribie Island Woodies.

Yesterday I dropped over to Bribie Island to deliver the Bribie Woodies [Bribie Island Woodworkers Club], a longer arm for their Torque Workcentre… and had an opportunity to meet some of the members and look around the club room and workshop… as well as their two wood stores… The club is set up in a picturesque woodland area behind the Community Arts Centre… very peaceful….most of the time…Plenty of trees and a nice breeze blowing in from the ocean..

Very spacious and well set up… wish I had the room they have… and the timber…To list some of the things they have

5 wood lathes,

2 table saws,

3 bandsaws,

2 thicknessers,

large drum sander,

a Torque WorkCentre,

and so much more….

They have a very large machine area,

2 separate undercover areas for hand work,

separate finishing area,

2 wood stores,

bandsaw mill,

separate building for meetings, classes and morning tea etc,

fully ducted cyclone dust system…

the list goes on….but what a great set up… must be one of the best equipped clubs in Australia…

I hope you enjoy the slideshow..

A wonderful idea Larry. Well equipped shop and a chance to socialize and also learn from other woodworkers. The only negative I can think of is that one would have to clean up when they are finished. Something I don't always (read seldom) do. I know, bad habit.
