I'm thinking about getting one of these. I got all the sales hype literature and DVD. I would like to know if any of you have had experience with these machines and or the company.

I picked up a 718 last week I am hoping to see more feedback on this thread. I have downloaded the manual and seems pretty straight forward.

I would be very interested in hearing feedback on this. I am considering starting up a business with one of these.
I like the idea of making custom moldings.

I have a friend that has one and really likes it. He has a portable sawmill and uses the woodmaster for planing the rough lumber after drying. His system has carbide cutters and a milwaukee router attachment that does alot of extra work. It also has a drum for using it as a sander. Very nice machine.

I am also wanting to hear about your and others experience with these Woodmaster Tools systems. I was looking into the 725 3-sided system w/spiral cutter but have not pulled the trigger yet. I only hear good things about the machines with just minor chattering issues which makes me question the machines since there are no real negative comments or reviews that I have found.

I have a Woodmaster 4N1 18" for about 2 years now and I must say it is a great machine. I do have some minor issues with the machine though but would not stop anyone from getting one. The machine is great for planning, ripping and molding but in my opinion falls short in sanding. I have had some less han desirable experiences with sanding and purchased a Performax 16/32. This machine works well for me and I don't use the woodmaster for sanding anymore. First, you can only sand up to about 18" width. Second, I have a big issue with losing about 6-8" of board to snipe marks. Trying sanding a piece of expensive wood and have to cut about 6-8" off. Third, there is a problem with the sanding paper getting hot and burning the heck out of the wood even at a little pressure and speed. Imagine this happening in the middle of your door panel. It seems to happen more often with the 220 grit. The velco on the drum also gets burned up as well. Fourth, I hate having to change out the head. Anyway, the machine is great!
