Yep, four out of four lumberjocks agree, it's Doug Fir. And you were pretty close because Doug Fir is pine.
That tight, clear grain used to be pretty common up here in the northwest when there was a lot of old growth being logged. You just don't get that grain from second growth. Now days you'll pay as much for it here as you will for eastern hardwoods like cherry and walnut.

My wifey pointed out a door with panels for me to buy just a day or two ago, thinking I could do something with it. It looked exactly like that, and was marked douglas fir, which I called out to her before I got to the hangtag.
