Sorry if this isnt a great picture to identify the wood with, but I am picking up what the guy said is Walnut, at around .38c/bdft rough saw, been dried, and sitting in a barn for 35 years. wondering what you guys think. I will probably go to a hardwood store tomorrow to see if they can tell what it is.

It looks a bit like Douglas fir to me, because it is kind of reddish in color. If I could smell it I would know for sure. Df smells resinous, walnut is pungent and sharp. $.38 a bf is an extremely good price for walnut. If it turns out to be walnut, buy all you can at that price.
