Picked up this massive door a few days ago. I m thinking it’s quarter sawn white oak. Thoughts?

It's certainly showing a lot of tiger stripe typical of QS oak.

The rays give it away. Your guess is probably right on. There was a time when White Oak was common and inexpensive.
Looks like an old church door. Definitely Quarter Sawn White Oak. Don't forget to bring the clothes in off the line!
Yup it’s QSWO. I hope you can use it and not have to cut it up. It would be a shame to lose such a great door.
But if you must you must. At least you won’t use it for firewood. Or will you?

nothing like the smell of laundry that was hung in a fresh breeze
Check the end grain. Open pores tell you it is red oak. Closed pores is why white oak does not rot and red oak does.

At first, I thought QS white oak, like most here that have replied. But then I wondered if it might be English white oak.
But I have to agree with the rest here.

Looks like white oak to me. Perhaps a different wood though around the window but I couldn’t see grain enough to tell. It’s a beautiful door though. What are you going to use it on?
“English Oak for the win, Alex.”
