Hopefully this is the correct way to do this.....if not feel free to correct me. I do not have social media so I think I'll just start a blog here and update it with what I'm doing in the shop. Maybe someone cares, maybe they don't lol. Anyway..had a busy day in the shop today. Drilled a bunch of countersink holes under my bench top so my holdfasts grip better. They seem to be working better already going from a full 4 inch thick top down to 2.5. Also did a quick refresh on a recent find. One of my first woodworking projects from freshman shop class. A little bench. Unbeknownst to me my dad had it all these years and recently gave it to me. Just a little sanding and blo to make it look decent again. Also did a quick refresh on a diston backsaw I picked up at an auction this past summer. Had a good day! Feels great to be back in the shop again after a long summer!

Letting everyone know what we did in the shop today is what nearly all of us do on here. You might want to just join one of the ongoing threads like the "Woodshed" or "How about a weather report". Both of those are basically folks just saying HI I did this today.

Sounds like a good day. The bench looks good to be that old so apparently you did something right on it.
