Hi , I got in touch with WGBY , my local PBS station , to find out if and when they were going to air the Season 6 Woodsmith Shop episodes . This was their reply and I'm sure only part of the episodes.
Good Morning,
Thank you for contacting WGBY. We have just begun airing season 6 of "Woodsmith Shop." Here is the schedule of shows which air on WGBY - Create channel. If you missed any episodes, you can go to their website for patterns and videos - http://www.woodsmithshop.com/.
You're welcome , Tony . I'm not sure if the times and dates apply in Florida though.
This is my local PBS station in Springfield MA. The Connecticut PBS has already run the Season 6 shows.
Have a great weekend !
When I found the station (WJCT) it was on I just set my DVR up to record the series. I told the DVR to record the "new and old" shows. We have that new Dish VIP 922 Duo DVR. It's got all the bells and whistles. It will do whatever I tell to do. LOL!!! It's a great DVR! I'm sure at some point it will get whatever comes up!
I used to watch this show all the time when we lived in MA.
Thank you for leading me to this Len,
I just told it to turn my printer on and print me out boat load of $100 bills . I'm going to buy PBS cause I just found out that it's not showing on the WJCT channel in our area. Bummer!
I sent them an email !!!
I live in Worcester and last time I checked they weren't showing it. They show Rough Cut with Tommy Mack and I can't bring myself to watch it. Don't know why but after watching Norm for so long I find myself in a constant state of cringe as he slaughters the language.
That is so true and funny unisaw! Roger Cook the garden guy on ask this old house cracks me up also when I hear him speak! I'm from MA also! Left there in 91 and found my R's after working with people that use them!
Dusty,
South FL had a metor sighting the other day..
Dam, I was just kiddng when I said that!
Hi unisaw , I hear ya' , but he has gotten much better lately and I'm starting to like the show much more than at first. I still don't care if I miss an episode or not , but Norm was a never miss for me : )
Hi Tony, you shouldn't pick on Rajaw just because he can't pawk his caw at the shipyawd neaw the hawbaw : )
All in good fun…even his co-hosts pick on him about his accent.
Dusty,
I enjoy hearing Roger talk. It makes me feel like I'm back at home! He's a good guy too! I like them all! Tommy looks like an old neighbor friend I once had. He could be his double, but that guy was a plumber.
I never got a reply from the email I sent to PBS about the new shows. Darn!
One of my old bosses is from Attleboro , and speaks the same way. I don't know why it didn't spread to the West Coast of MA though ?LOL I guess we have our own "accent" according to one of my high school English teachers.
I like Tommy the best now that Norm doesn't have his own show , but I still enjoy seeing him on this show.
Regarding PBS , mine was kind of slow to respond as well , but came through in the end : )
Have a great night , my friend !
ps: I couldn't open the meteor link that you posted : (
Our local PBS shows the Woodsmith Shop and I have them all being recorded. I just started watching them this season so I don't know what the previous seasons looked like, but this has got to be the most boring show ever produced. I mean, come on, woodworking is fun! I literally fell asleep watching a couple of the episodes. Yes, "literally." At least pretend that you enjoy it a little bit and get a couple of people on there with charisma. Imagine if someone like Steve Ramsey (Woodworking for Mere Mortals) had a professional budget and staff--that would make for a much more entertaining show. Of course, some here will criticize me for wanting TV to be entertaining. So sorry.
