I tried to insert a 1/2" diam. bit into the 1/2" collet of my 2 1/4" plunge router by Triton. The opening was not large enough. After trying some things I found my collet has changed shape and needs to be replaced. The collet will not come out of my router. I called Busy Bee Tools for a new collet and they said Triton was sold to the states and they no longer carry their tools.
The Triton website is no longer providing dealers in Canada. I wrote Triton an email…
How can I get a 1/2" Triton collet in the GTA so I can continue using my router.

It could be your bits I had a set one time that I did not paid that much for they work fine but I had to sand them down, some were a little bigger than 1/2 in.
I just took some fine sand paper and just turned themi n my hand a few times.
