I've just purchased the Trend M&T router jig to make ease of the many mortise and tenon duties on most of my craftsman inspired furniture builds. I'm waiting however to purchase the long-reach router bits however until I decide whether to buy straight cutting or spiral (upcut or downcut) bits. Whatever I decide, I'll most certainly only buy Whiteside brand bits. Does anyone know if you get a cleaner cut for your cheaks and shoulders using straight versus spiral bits? Many thanks for quality info….
