...there are many like it but this one is mine.

...I must master my table saw as I master my life.

Just a take off of the classic Rifle-man's Creed.

My table saw is a 1996, Craftsman Emerson Era saw. I really like it.

I bought it many years ago for $200.

I added a Ridgid AC1036 fence for $50

a General mobile base for $60

a mobile base made out of pine for @ $20

new handwheels for $30

and a Osborne EB3 miter gague for $110.

So for @ $470, I have a saw that works very well, has been a joy to use.

Motor vehicle Wood Machine tool Gas Toolroom

2 emerson electric built 10" CI contractor saws and a refurbished '72 unisaw. in a 12×20 shop. just a little tight these days.

and as you can see, i don;t believe in filling in the webbing. never caught my fingers and it provides great resources for clamping feather boards.

I've got a Shop Fox W1677 left tilt 3hp cabinet saw….it's essentially a white Griz G1023SL. Bought it new in 2008 for $903 shipped to my door thanks to the Microsoft Cashback rebates. I've added a BORK riving knife and blade guard, Osborne EB-3, Jet Xacta II fence with router fence attachment, and a router table, and have slid the front rail tube over to the right for a 36" rip capacity.

Todd, that is how efficient our dust collection systems are :)

Joking btw, I tend to clean mine off if i'm taking pics to post where I want to emphasize something i've done to it is all.

Dang Scott, Microsoft cashback, how the heck did I miss that. What was that anyway?

MS wanted a piece of of the search engine action, so while launching their Live.com search engine website, they offered incentives to many online purchases to people who originated their search through Live.com. Ebay was a participating site. The incentives varied periodically, but reached a max of 35% briefly, and stayed in the 25%-30% range for quite a while. There was a 60 day delay in receiving payment. You were allowed a max of $2500 cashback total, and $250 per transaction…I played it for every penny. It was a pretty sweet deal while it lasted. As much as like my saw, my favorite purchase was a Lowes $500 gift card on Ebay….bought below face value for $494 with proceeds from the rebates from my Cashback eligible purchases…I received an additional 25% Cashback on that purchase, then combined it with a 10% HD coupon towards a patio door from Lowes.

Live.com is now known as Bing.com.

I thought this is a 113 forums. The cabinet saw folks really shouldn't post here as it make us 113 guys feel bad…..
OK, I don't really care.

Todd,
That fence looks like a "Align A Rip" or the X/R 20/20 fence? How do you like it? What are the pros & cons?
There dosen't appear a whole not of write up on those new craftsman table saw fences.

Muleskinner - That looks to be an Excaliber fence, but am not sure what saw you have….is it an older Grizzly 1022, Bridgewood, or Mao Shan TSC-10?

Wow, this looks like it is going to be a fun forum, thanks for starting this topic Todd. Now I am excited about taking pics of our table saws and getting them posted on here in the next couple of days. :)

Bandit - so far it looks like you and I are the only ones who realize why they're called table saws.

Scott - you're right about the fence (48" right side, 24" left side). You also know your saws - TSC-10 it is.
