Is working on a plan...nothing on paper, yet.
Task?

To turn this pile of resawn Leftovers..

Into a box, with split doors....that will stand up on one end...that thin piece? might wind up either as a shelf inside, or..firewood...not sure, yet....

That wide, thick slab? will be ripped in two equal sections, to make the sides...

That stack in the back? Is to be: both doors, and the 2 ends....need a glue up done, twice,,,to convert 4 strips into 2 doors that will overlap where they will meet up....

May start up that first..stay tuned..

Where the 2 doors meet up..will be a 1/4" x 1/4" lap joint,,,,,also looking to add bread board edges to both doors.

Thinking maybe 2 shelves inside? set into dados?

Thinking the corner joints MIGHT be 1/8" or 1/4" wide box/finger joints Hand cut/chopped..
Will have to see what else is left in the "ScrapYard"..

This is called, I think..a Lap joint?

For the two doors to over-lap each other...

And add a latch about centered....will try to start on the finger jointed corners, later today..Boss willing

At least that is what I call these...

"Finger Joints" got the other 2 corners done this morning..

Hand sawn, chopped with the same chisel that marks out the spacings..

lay out tools..

That is a 1/4" Witherby chisel..
So..next up..dados to house shelves?

By hand, of course...Stay tuned..

Need to add two shelves...and how to divide the spaces equally ...hmmm

And get them looking good...

11-1/4" to the inside corners divide by 3...= 3-3/4" or there abouts...set the dividers to that measurement and step it off 3 times..Then set the shelves onto those marks..

And trace around them..to help lay out the dados to house them...

Chop out the stopped dados..and there you have it..
