T Track with Kreg Automax clamp

Anyone had any trouble using Kreg Automaxx clamp with t tracks on a work bench or assembly table? I'm debating on using T tracks or an open center for clamps, on an assembly table/work bench.

Hey Will,

Saw your post and had the same question. Did you end up using t-track with the clamp? How did it work out?

I bought two Automax long reach and the KlampTrak that goes with them. I am totally impressed by how useful they are. I am getting two more short reach Automax when the budget allows.

I am very interested, as well.

I found one review that stated he really liked them but he had to buy four to get two good ones.
Left me a little gun shy.

Saw your post and had the same question. Did you end up using t-track with the clamp? How did it work out?

I'm still working on my assembly/2nd work bench….and my garage upgrade renovation for that matter, but am planning on simply using some Rockler tracks on the top and front of the bench. Then use Automaxx and other clamps with them.
From my research, the Kreg trak are a PIA to deal with, I might drill some more holes in the regular tracks &/or use some liquid nails in addition to the stock screw holes for hold down force.

I've heard no issue on the clamps themselves….except price..but just look for a sale..
