Substitute for Burlap?

3357 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  blackcherry
I'm going to experiment with Berlen's grain filler on mahogany. Usual instructions are to apply with the grain, wipe off against the grain with burlap. Maybe I've gone too upper crust, but I haven't seen burlap since I was a kid way too many years ago.

Suggestions for obtaining burlap?

Any suggestions on a substitute for burlap?

Thanks

Maybe a local fabric store? JoAnn's has it available online - maybe give your local stores a call.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out - sounds interesting. Pictures are great too!!
