You should be able to get the p/n off the old relay. Never seen a Klixon that didn't have it marked.

starting / potential relay for delta belt sander
Bought a used Delta 6×48 belt sander and it lasted about 1 day before the starting relay fried out. At first I got the parts cannon out and blasted a capacitor in there, same thing. Then I noticed the odd looking coil inside the box with the cap and decided to investigate.
I took the relay out of the sander and unscrewed the cap exposing the contacts. The contacts were some of the worst I have ever seen, both sides completely burnt and pitted. I tried some sanding paper but they were beyond help. Filing it down got me a couple of successful starts before they burnt over again. I'm sure the pads weren't flat or even by the time I got done with the file.
Looked up the model (delta 31-695 type-1) and came up with a D/C'd part # A14638 which was used by porter cable and delta on various models.
Which brings me (finally) to my question. I can readily source a klixon 4CR series relay, but which one? I'm no savant when it comes to electricity. In order to spec the relay I need to come up with pick-up and drop-out ratings and I have my assumptions but I'd rather order based on some factual knowledge. Here is a link to a PDF of the chart if someone feels generous enough to help. FWIW the motor is 'rated' at 9 amps / 120V.

My apologies if I wasn't clear on that. The relay I'm trying to replace is likely the original. The markings are as follows: SUNEI , ZE-604 and UP. My only assumption that UP means just that, orient the relay so UP is, well, up.

Found a universal electronic start relay, wired it in and we're in business. Pretty straightforward install which required crimping a couple new connectors on and getting a little creative inside the control box to fit it all back inside. Best part was the new relay was only $18 whereas the now D/C'd OEM part was $35 and unobtanium. Don't toss those old power tools, fix 'em!
