Dusty…...that's a 1.5 hp machine with a very small top. If u could get the pair for that price then it might be a deal. Don't know for sure but a 1/2 inch spindle is probably the max on that machine. Certainly more capable than a router table …....but an entry level model for sure ! If you really have need for a shaper you will out grow that one in a few minutes.
Is it tedious…..well depends on your cutting tools. If your using a grizz set they are matched up nicely like the early delta sets. For cope and stick you simply remove one set then drop the other on. No spindle height or fence depth change will be neccessary. Very efficient
Dusty you can also lay a 3/4 inch slab on top to gain whatever size surface u desire . On that one however the under nut capacity will greatly be affected. For little more than cope and stick it will get u buy especially if your mostly cutting face down
