I am about to purchase some shaper cutters to make some raised panel doors. Do I buy ½" or ¾" arbor cutters? Is there advantage to one or the other? Is there a brand preference as I intend to do quite a bit of work with them? I am using a Grizzly G1035 model shaper.
My raised panel cutters are 3/4 and work well.
The cheaper ones may not have very much carbide. Make sure they have plenty of carbide for resharpening.
I don't have a brand preference.
Enjoy.
