scoring blades

Im about to get a scoring blade for my slider. I would like to know your opinions on rake angle for the scoring blade. Seems to me that it would be best if it were a negative rake angle, but most of them are positive. Maybe Im missing something. My saw came with a conical style, and I would like a split style. I am having trouble with not perfectly flat ply moving out of the sweet spot on the conical blade.
