I recently purchased this planer from a local auction. Unfortunately for me I should have done a bit more research as the listing said a 9HP unit and it ends up being 12HP. That is more than my RPC can handle. My goal was to replace the straight knives with a helical cutterhead and replace all bearings, but with the costs of upgrading RPC, new cutterhead, etc it is going to be too much of an investment for me to take right now. I have taken it apart, thoroughly cleaned and have it back together. Now I am just looking to recoup my initial investment and make room. Specs are below.
