I was privileged to be part of a Special tour in Dec. 2005… with Sam in his shop as well as his home & museum.
It was a highlight of my life.

Just a month later, he had his 91st (I think) birthday and Ground Breaking for the new Museum / Display buildings… I was there for that as well…

I only live less than 3-4 minutes away, down Carnelian to approx. 18th St. ...

It was a sad day when I heard of his passing (going away)...

A true legend and wonderful man as well as woodworker.

Watching him at his bandsaw, alone, was a sight to behold!
He used it like a pencil or brush!
His hands & fingers would come SO CLOSE to the blade, it would scare the crap out of you… but he just continued o cut on the line he had in his head…

Awesome… I will never forget him!

I'm sorry he "went away"...
