I need help in finding the value of this band saw to see if it is worth bidding on.
I'm not even sure if this is rockwell or the size of the bandsaw.
Can anyone give me more info based on the photo?
This is all the information they give:
Rockwell Bandsaw
Model: 14, SN: 83L06846, CAT #: 28-203, Electric, Single Phase, 120 V

Wood Font Gas Art Electric blue

It looks to be your basic 14" bandsaw. If it runs and has not been abused, no busted trunions , no cracked wheels, frame is solid and you can get it for under $150 or so it could be a great saw.

It's a Delta/Rockwell 14" wood only bandsaw built in 1983.. pretty much the standard for band saws of that size. Can't really tell it's worth without examining in person.

Cheers,

Looks amazingly like my first bandsaw, save mine was painted white by the shop it was in. OK saw. Even has the old style four poster knobs on the bottom. I'd stop at $100-120, and only if it runs and does not have a cracked upper wheel swivel.

For the bandsaw please don't expect Rolls OR Royce performance. However if it is used for simple cuts as a short term buy , then I would agree somewhere up to $150.00 or less, should not break the bank balance. You might be very happy with it and use it for years to come depending on the load you fire through it.I wish you well for that kind of money you could easily have a bit of fun with it but whatever check it if possible for damage, even if you do so by asking the relevant questions before parting, with your nice crinkly ,folding poppy. If you stick to woodworking and eventually buy up then you can always part exchange it for a better one or keep it for doing smaller work I currently have four bandsaws.
