Removing glue squeeze out from finished wood

Creating a project with some salvaged oak flooring from a home that was flooded by hurricane Sandy. Most of the wood being used has been planed to remove the finish. Some of the wood will retain the original finish and has been glued up to form some panels for the project. Was able to remove the majority of the glue squeeze out from this but some remains. What is the best way to remove the remaining dried glue? I don't want to and/or can't sand at all really or scrape too much because the intention is to retain the finish. Appreciate any suggestions.
