I've been using the collector more this week, and it really is amazing how much softer and more pleasant the sound is. Once the tablesaw is turned on, I don't notice any additional noise from the collector. That's just what I was hoping for.

If anyone is looking to quiet down their collector, but doesn't have the space to frame it in… try these techniques.

I watched the video. Its hard to tell for sure from that but it sounds like it took most of the higher frequency sound out. For me just changing the tone would be well worth the upgrade. The high frequency sounds tend to drive me crazy.

The clip in the video really didn't do it justice. It definitely took away the high frequency reflected sound. But it knocked down the deep roaring sound too. Overall just much quieter.
