yep… personally skip the Blo… i can't stand that stuff. i would just go with straight poly. or even better General finishes has an oil varnish Seal-A-Cell which pops the wood like nothing else. they are Arm-R-Seal as well which is a little more high solids.

Yes, you can. Blo tends to tone the wood and add some "aging" to its color. I generally give the blo at least 24 hours to cure (depending on my shop temperature, of course).

ona slightly related note, for the longest time I thought when everyone was talking about "blo" they meant some particular brand of finish. "ARGH if this is so popular, how come I can't find anyplace that sells it?!"
