Plumbing Question

I am replacing the drain basket in the kitchen sink. I'll be using the large fiber and rubber washers below the basket and plumber's putty under the rim on the top of the sink. I'm wondering if the sink will be ready for use immediately or should I give it some time before using it? Thanks.

No problem as soon as you want to use it that putty will not take water.
Right away no problem
If it takes us much longer to answer. It won't be a problem.

But you can use it right away for future references
Let water flow now
What kind of sink? Probably not an issue in a kitchen, but regular plumbers putty doesn't work on acrylic sinks.
Thanks guys. That's what I thought, but wanted to be sure.
Yes, just a regular kitchen sink. Nothing fancy.
