Some guys have been able to sell theirs to others who wanted it to re machine into a useable head for an older machine they are restoring (like replacing a square head on an old jointer). But those oppurtunities are very limited, and it takes a fair amount of luck to fall into such a deal. For me, I threw the planer head into a metal recycling bin. I use the jointer head with my hydraulic press to bend metal into curves. I did keep the gibs/screws/blades and I gave those away to other woodworker's, but they could be sold.
