Mystery plane

This is my first entry to the Lumberjocks, so I hope I am doing this correctly. I have found a plane that I cannot identify. I'm looking for some help here. It has a cast brass or bronze body and wooden handle. The only markings are an "X25" on what appears to have been one the casting mold. My research seems to imply it is a circular plane or a ship plane or a convex plane. The blade is missing and there is no adjustment for the convex surface. Can anyone identify the manufacturer or have more information from the pictures.
