Hello friends- I wish you all a happy, safe and healthy new year!

Does anybody know if there is a substantial difference between the guillotine type miter trimmers offered by Lee Valley, Grizzly, Highland….etc. they all look the same to me and seem to have the same description.
BUT the prices vary a bit.

They are copies of the old Lion miter trimmer. I would guess they are all the same with the same cutters.

I looked at this too. The rockler, grizzly, lee valley , and another i saw on amazon all look like they are from the same chinese manufacturer with a different sticker. So i have been trying to find an old one locally. I did see a nice one on ebay but the shipping was ridiculous

I suspect they are all out of the same place. I also have a Dosch, and while it doesn't get used much when it does it really does a nice job.

I live fairly close to the Bellingham Grizzly show room, so I bought mine from them to avoid shipping. It is well made and I have no complaints.
