check out this web site SHOPNATIONSTORE.COM I recently purchased. A device for my Bosch 10in miter saw the replaces it original dust collection Port with a device that really works. It has reduced the dust from my saw by at least 95% the cost including shipping to Delaware. was 54$ . It makes CUTTING MDF a pleasure

Those would definitely get more dust than a stock setup. But will they work with a zero clearance fence? It doesn't look like there's room for both.
There are some things that simply are like looking for a unicorn, sachsquach or the end of the internet.
A good dust collector for miter saws is one of those things. The basic functional design of the saw seems to preclude any real solutions for good dust collection. There are many posts on many woodworking forums ranging from the simple to the complex.
The pictures below are my miter saw dust collection solutions. My simple solution I find works the best overall .

I have seen a considerable decrease in the dust since I installed the new port. I have it connected to a 20 yr old craftsman shop vac and a dust deputy. A zero clearance fence is not possible but a zero clearance insert does help also.
Hey, thanks for the post. I signed up for the DeWalt version when they get it in production. I do have a conventional box/shroud behind my saw connected directly to 6” duct. I believe (without much proof) that it gets most of the fine dust, but could stand to be improved a lot.
Not bashing the guy, I kinda like him actually. But, he did put this out there himself.
Good on him for standing beside his product.
Just a heads up.

Thanks, hope to try his product soon. Glad he’s involved in failure analysis. For little cutoffs from small pieces I either use a backing piece against the fence, or move to the sled on the table saw. But not always…
We made some fittings for our miter saw that get most of the dust and permit the use of a zero clearance fence. But it's specific to the Dewalt 715 and renders the bevel feature (which we don't use) of the saw unusable. I saw the Shop Nation stuff several weeks ago but a zero clearance fence is a must-have on our saws and I didn't think those products would be compatible.

Incidentally, those exploding dust chutes in the video above probably wouldn't happen if there's a zero clearance fence in place.
