Hi
It looks great, I can guess you are very proud of the table.
Can I ask you where you got your table leaf locks? I am having a problem keeping my table closed without a crack.
Thank You

The table assembly is now complete. Since the leaves store in the table, the aprons needed to be hinged. I used short piano (continuous) hinges from hardware source.com. The hinges are 4.5" long, and lock at 90 degrees, similar to jewlery box hinges. I used inset rare earth magnets to lock the hinged aprons in there in-use positions.
Felt lines the frame, which creates a nice little nest for the leaves. The table extends to accept two 12" leaves via 52" equilizer slides. This is nice beause it only requires one person to open / close the table.
There are a total of 10 walnut butterfly inlays on the top, and the apron is dovetailed.
I will post pictures of the finished table in a few days.
The table locks are from Rockler. Make sure to specify table locks, and not sash locks. They look very similar, but only the table locks cinch the leaves together. Another option is the Align-n-lock which combines alignment tabs with a table lock. Those are also available at Rockler, as well as Woodcraft.Mission Dining Build #5 - Table Apron, and final assembly

I'm looking to build a mission style dining room suite including table, sideboard and possibly chairs (if I can't find reasonable price on commercial chairs that pass spouse approval). I like what you have done and wondered if you could point me at plans you used, if there are such. Also, wondered how much overhang you use on the ends of the table in the unexpanded setup to prevent knee banging on the pedistals?Mission Dining Build #5 - Table Apron, and final assembly

Overhang should be 12-14" on the ends. Plans are available in Sketchup 3D warehouse, just search "Mission Dining Table Willie" and you should find it.Mission Dining Build #5 - Table Apron, and final assembly

OK thanks. I just downloaded the Sketchup model, but am a total loser in that program. Do you have separate views with dimensions or do I just need to tickle out the individual components and add in the dimensions?Mission Dining Build #5 - Table Apron, and final assembly

There is a dimension tool so you can measure and mark any part you wish.Mission Dining Build #5 - Table Apron, and final assembly
