I ran across a beautiful piece of curly cherry and picked it up. I don't have quite enough to make it into a table top, so I am considering veneering it onto a piece of Baltic birch plywood. How thick can I make the cherry before I start having to worry about it shrinking and swelling? 1/4"? 1/2"?

Any experience would be appreciated.

1/8'' or under I usually cut mine at 1/8'' or just under and drum sand to even thickness usually just one pass per side usually ending at 3/32''
