Not sure what type you used but my guess would be that it is the welds in the links (chain) making noise. Could you post a couple pictures of what you are using?

hello i have posted a couple pictures,the problem im having ,is when it swings it binds on the i hook ,i think i may change the way it hangs not sure yet what i am gonna do yet i have this swing sold to a lady, i want it to be perfect with in reason thanks mike

Add a couple links of chain, it will probably cure the issues.
