Jet 6" jointer $125!!!! Good deal?

I am going to look at a jet 6" jointer today. Asking $125. It is an older model, maybe early 90's. It has some rust, but the seller said that it is just surface. Want to know if this is a good deal or not? I am going to look at it later today, so any input would be appreciated ASAP.

Jet makes good tools. If it is in good shape, jump on it. You will want to take a long straight edge if possible to check for flatness of the beds and fence. If they are twisted or otherwise not flat, then run away, as there is no financially feasible way of fixing it.
Ripthorn hit the nail on the head. That is a good deal as long as everything is straight. I have a 6" JET that I got as a hand-me-down. It is a great starter and can do a lot.
If the rust is the only problem, i'd jump for it.
If you do decide to Jump on it make sure it's unplugged first.Seriously this is important as it could save your life. Alistair
Look for pitting in the surface. I'm skeptical of it being all surface rust, since someone who let the thing rust away probably wouldn't know or care that it's getting pitted with rust.

If the cast iron tables are pitted, there's really no financially feasible way to fix them.
Are pitted tables on a jointer that big of an issue, assuming it's still flat and true?
