Hi all. Inexperienced woodworker here.

I make lots of projects and use lots of saw ... but I am fearful of the tablesaw. I have known a couple of people who lost fingers.

Several years back, I got the Incramiter 1000 combo as seen below. What I wanted to table saw for I would make a lot of repetitive cuts and thought Incramiter would be a good idea. Unfortunately it did not fit our tablesaw so I never used it.
Well, I am back to considering using a table saw and would like one that Incramiter works with ... again the things I want to make will involve lots of repetitive cuts.

Does anyone know if any of the compact table saw will work with incra miter and if there is anything else I need to look at re compatibility?
Are there any old Craftman saws that work?

Thanks.

J

Craftsmen saws intentinoally have an undersized (0.740") mitre slot. The Incra designs plan for this, and have several adjustment points, so that the miter bar will fit properly in both 0.740" and 0.750" slots.

You can use The Incra 100HD with express sled with any taple saw. You can replace the sled if it as been cut to another saw. I have one. Used on MY Omni saw but I sold that for a saw stop, so I just recut the sled.

I am not sure what does not "fit". Is it the bar like Mark is suggesting?

Call or email Incra. I found them VERY helpful.

RE "does not fit". The miter slots need to be standard 3/4. Our Makita TS slots are not and the new Ryobi TS that I just picked up are not either. SO I am in research ode to be sure I find one with proper slots. I messaged Mark from Incra yesterday but he is away until next week. Just went back and looked at the autoreply and found another person to message. Hopefully he will get back to me today. My options right now are one of the less expensive compacts (new) or a used. In my area I see a couple of used old craftmans (I prefer), a like new 10 inch Delta 36 (I thought this looked great but then saw some reviews that makes me question. Otherwise I have been looking on the Home Depot and Lowes website. My budget is 350 or less. In the future can get something better.

Thanks. I vaguely remember Incra telling me about this years back when I first ran into this problem. Do you know if the .74 is standard for all of the older Craftman's? One of the Craftmans I inquired about yesterday, the seller said the slots were 5/8. Honestly, as long as it works .... I prefer one of the older Craftmans to a newer compact. I was excited to see a a like new Delta within my budget but when I researched the model, saw some pretty concerning reviews.
